Alicia Hiller Voiceover
Someone who gets you. Who understands what you’re trying to say, but also might surprise you. That’s what you’ll get when you work with Alicia. Starting with empathy Alicia puts herself in the shoes of your character or message. As an actress (on stage, on camera and behind a microphone), a mother, and someone who’s worked in the corporate sphere, she’s lived the words behind your message. What she sees in her mind, you hear in her voice. You can trust that Alicia will tell the story your audience needs to hear.
Words and music drive Alicia. As a composer and singer, she’ll find the music in your voice over copy. Being quick on her feet, she constantly makes word and idea connections – and loves providing variations that give a director good options to choose from. Whether in heels or flats, Alicia brings her experience, warmth and humor to your commercial, character and narration voiceover copy.
A Voice Actor That Really Hears You
As a singer, Alicia has performed in musicals Off-Broadway, in regional and national tours, in cabarets, choirs and as a lead singer in local folk and rock bands. Her trained ear has helped her develop a great facility with accents. From Eliza Doolittle in “My Fair Lady”, where she seamlessly moved from Cockney to British RP, to the flat mid-western tones of Mrs. Dexter in “The Man Who Came to Dinner, to her NOLA Lady Capulet in a production of “Romeo and Juliet” set in New Orleans that made native Louisianans take her for one of their own, as said above, she gets you and can bring the character you need to life.
Alicia’s voice ranges from a bright youthful sound to a down-to-earth mom. And if the script calls for it, she can throw in some dark snark and grit, though her monsters are usually friendly. She will zero in on solid emotional choices finding the humor and human connection in the lines. As a lyricist, she understands word play and loves a good, or a bad, pun. Whether understated or going big, there is a credibility and believability in every performance.
